This is the first of our classic "year-end" shows. Here is our tribute to the hottest hip hop hits of 1979,the year that hip hop music takes form as recorded music. Relive these classic cuts and some of the top moments in news,television and movies of that infamous year.

Grandmaster Melle Mel,one of the greatest storytellers,lyricists,MCs,prophets,and artists of all time sits down with TG-The Analog Master of Disaster for a one on one interview as he tells his story on his involvement in the early hip hop culture. Some of his hottest cuts with Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five and solo pieces including some rarities from 1978 and 1979 are included in this presentation.
