Out of all of our shows,this is the one that gave us a hard time to get out. Originally scheduled to be broadcasted,we have decided to have it available to download for our fans. The Old School Radio Hour does it again with its coverage of The Tools of War Crotona Park Jam series presented by Tools Of War. This historic jam takes a different turn as 3 of hip hop's turntable giants do it in the park like the way it used to be done. This is an all out Zulu Nation throwdown featuring Jazzy Jay,Kool DJ Red Alert and the Amen-Ra of the hip hop culture,Afrika Bambaataa. This was recorded on Thursday,July 16, 2009.

This is the 2nd part of our 2-week tribute to one of the greatest legends of hip hop radio,the late Mr. Magic. Featured are more of the classic cuts that he broke on the air plus some clips of his pioneering hip hop radio show,"Mr. Magic's Rap Attack" and some call-ins by hip hop legends Spyder-D and Fearless Four member,The Great Peso sharing their thoughts and memories on the trailblazer of hip hop radio. This was originally aired on October 10, 2009 on Volta Radio and this is the last regular episode to be aired on the station.

Featured on this episode are classic clips from his shows,"Mr. Magic's Super Disco Showcase" and "Mr. Magic's Rap Attack" from WHBI-FM and WBLS-FM,both New York City stations and some of the classics that he broke on his shows and some personal memories by callers Stevie D of The Force MD's and Eric B. Kim-A-Kazi,a b-girl legend representing from Brooklyn,NY and a one time member of The Dynamic Dolls,an all female spin-off of the legendary b-boy crew,The Dynamic Breakers tells her story filled with many memories of touring with Run-DMC,Kurtis Blow and Whodini on the Fresh Fest Tour in 1984,appearing in the movie,"Beat Street" and many more. Plus you will hear some of her favorite cuts that she danced off of. This was originally broadcasted on Volta Radio on September 26, 2009

This is a special extended version featuring material not aired in the original broadcast version. MC Chill,known for cuts like "Bust This Rhyme" and "MC Story",is featured on this episode via telephone interview. You will hear not only his hot joints but his stories on his involvement in the hip hop world and talk about the scene in his hometown,Cleveland,OH. This was originally aired on Volta Radio on September 12, 2009.

Stevie D,singer,MC,one of the founding members of the legendary hip hop/r&b group,The Force MD's is the special guest via telephone on this episode. He tells his side of the story on his involvement in the early hip hop culture and stories with The Force MD's and his early crew,The Force MC's. You will hear not only some of the hottest cuts by the MD's plus some rare live material by The Force MC's. This was originally broadcasted live on Volta Radio on September 5, 2009.

For the second hour,we celebrate what would have been the King of Pop,Michael Jackson's 51st birthday by playing some of the best cuts that sampled MJ throughout the years. Another episode from our archives,this was originally aired on Global Funk Radio on April 26, 2007. This show features hip hoppers crooning tunes instead of rhyming(during a time when many hip hop artists were not allowed to have a straight hip hop album).
